Hartman Livingstone 24: Old School With A Modern Touch
Yachts, in general, are becoming more and more diverse in both purposes as well as design, as new technologies allow for this. A great example of this is the Hartman Livingstone 24, inspired by the classic 1930’s yachts, yet fitted with quite a few modern touches.

The yacht is named after the famed explorer Dr.Livingstone, who just happen to sail the first steel boat ever, during his Zambezi expedition which lasted from 1858 to 1862. While the Hartman Livingstone 24 could serve the same purpose, it is also the perfect boat to take out for a leisurely cruise or an extended expedition. The first Hartman Livingstone 24 is fitted with a 345 hp MAN engine, which gives it a range of 3.000 miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots. The production version will, however, be fitted with two of these engines.

The Hartman Livingstone 24 offers room for nine people, divided over four cabins. At the bow of the yacht, we find the master cabin, while guest cabins occupy the mid and aft-section of the lower deck. Guests will enjoy the large saloon on the main deck, which has an open galley and an integrated dinette. Any meals can also be enjoyed outside where the fully covered aft deck provides a comfortable dining area, which includes an outdoor grill as well.

While the Hartman Livingstone 24 sports a classic look, it features advanced technology, such as an aluminum superstructure, a Naiad Fin stabilizer system, as well as an internal mooring-pole system, which not only makes it much easier to dock but also renders anchoring in shallow waters obsolete.
The Hartman Livingstone 24 will officially be launched at the HISWA Boat Show, which is being held from August 29th to September 3rd in Amsterdam.
