Boston’s Most Instagrammable Restaurants

Haute Cuisine, Lifestyle | August 15, 2017

When Instagram launched less than 10 years ago, it quickly became a social outlet for foodies, writers, bloggers and anyone looking to share or find a good time. Today, with more than 700 million users each month, it is the place to check out some of the hautest happenings in town. From a food truck on top of a roof to a Back Bay property with the best view of the city, here’s a look at Boston’s most Instagrammable restaurants.

Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar

It sounded a little strange when it opened combining Mexican food with oysters, but it all works at this South Boston haute spot. Best known for its incredible samplings of tacos (think buffalo chicken, blackened swordfish, cola pork carnitas and carne asada), Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar is almost as well known for its flights of tequila (we recommend the Bartender’s Favorites of Siete Leguas Blanco, Don Fulano Repo, Tequila Ocho Anejo).

Coppersmith Boston

This South Boston haute spot opened with quite a buzz when word got out there is a food truck located inside the restaurant. From lazy afternoon cocktails like a Spicy Cadillac or Cali Mule best enjoyed with oak smoked barbecue (think jerk chicken, pulled pork and brisket) to fire roasted salmon dishes and crispy shrimp with chili ginger lo mein, Coppersmith is one haute spot you won’t want to miss.

Top of the Hub

Located on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center, the romantic Top of the Hub certainly boasts one of the best, if not *the best* views of Boston and beyond. After checking out the Skywalk, head here for truffle dusted salmon, Georges Bank seared scallops, an enormous two-pound lobster, grilled filet mignon or massive 28-day dry aged bone-in ribeye served up with a 360-degree view and a side of live entertainment. After a visit here, you will understand why Top of the Hub is the most popular restaurant in the city for engagements.

Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant

The Brunch Test Kitchen at Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant is one of the best weekend dining events in the city. Try some Fruity Pebble pancakes, pastrami hash, cinnamon brioche French toast or a steak burrito and keep an eye out for decadent specials like the broiled Waygu beef hot dog topped with truffle mac and cheese.

Red Lantern

Red Lantern has made a household name for itself when it unveiled its $25 unlimited sushi menu on Tuesday nights. Head here with a bunch of your friends and share one of their specialty cocktails like the Elyxr made with Absolut Elyx, Cointreau, Lime, grapefruit, tropical Red Bull, and spiced up with jalapeños. Pair it up with an order of Mai Tai chicken skewers, blackened tuna rice bites, duck buns or rock shrimp tempura and you’ll be glad you did.
