Quick Hits: Onefinestay Launches in SF, Comedy Central Colossal Clusterfest Coming Soon
Move over Airbnb, there is a new luxury home rental service on the block. Allow us to introduce you to Onefinestay, which has officially launched in San Francisco. The hospitality brand brings hotel-like amenities to private homes and vacation rentals at select cities around the globe. Onefinestay already has properties in London, Paris, Rome, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and now it’s added SF to the roster. “Our sights have long been set on San Francisco as part of our expansion plans,” said Evan Frank, CEO and co-founder of the company in a statement. “It’s a premier and dynamic city, world-renowned for business and leisure travel, and a hub of innovation in the real estate and home rental space—a very obvious next step for Onefinestay.” There are 15 homes currently in the portfolio and guests can book now for stays starting in June.
Comedy Central is gearing up to host a brand new comedy festival experience here in San Francisco. In collaboration with Superfly and Another Planet Entertainment (the production companies behind Outside Lands), the television channel is hosting Comedy Central Presents Colossal Clusterfest. The event takes place Friday, June 2 to Sunday, June 4 at Civic Center Plaza and the Bill Graham Civic Center. The sensational lineup includes Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Bill Burr, Sarah Silverman, Ice Cube, and many more. The girls from Broad City, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, will preform a live reading of Wayne’s World, in honor of the iconic film’s 25th anniversary.

Onsen, the Japanese bathhouse and sake cafe in the Tenderloin, has opened a private event space. Owner Caroline Smith will plan and host sake tastings for guests with bento box meal options available from Wednesday through Sunday, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. With maximum capacity at 12 guests, the new private event space is a great place to host an intimate alternative meeting or chic unusual party.
