Bob Dylan Performs at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Music legend Bob Dylan, the first and only musician to be awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature, played a sold-out show at The Chelsea inside the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday just as his newest honor was announced. Following just hours after the news of the award, Dylan performed alongside his five-piece band and 2,600 fans for an iconic Las Vegas performance.
The legendary singer and songwriter kicked off the show with “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” and “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” followed by “Highway 61 Revisited,” “Simple Twist of Fate,” “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue,” “Blowin’ In the Wind,” and “Make You Feel My Love.” Donning a light gray suit and black and white saddle shoes, Dylan switched from rocking out on the piano to jamming on the guitar, entertaining fans with his musical versatility. Standing ovations and cheers alike were not an uncommon occurrence throughout the performance as fans sang along to his poetic lyrics.
To commemorate the occasion, The Cosmopolitan welcomed Dylan with a congratulatory message on the resort’s 65-foot marquee in the center of the Las Vegas Strip.
NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton and Las Vegas headliners Penn & Teller were among those in attendance.
