The Modern Ball is known as one of the most significant charity events helping to raise funds for the museum’s exhibitions and education programs, which serve more than 60,000 students, teachers, and families each year. This year Modern Ball was chaired by Gina Peterson and designed by Stanlee Gatti, who never fails to surprise us with his power of transformation. Guests were offered two dining experiences—the seated gala dinner with the life action and Supper Club, where guests mingled in a chic lounge with the live music.

That night the museum turned into breathtaking showcase of the arts, music and culinary scene. Between the exhibitions, performances and dancing, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Guests browsed around the museum gazing at the artworks by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Lee Krasner, Ellsworth Kelly and other artists. The official wine sponsors Kim Crawford, Meiomi, Robert Mondavi Winery and Ruffino, as well as Campari America made sure no one was thirsty throughout the night, and McCalls Catering ensured plenty of delicious offerings for guests to enjoy.

There was something else just as powerful as the museum’s exhibitions and collections—the spectacular jewels! And no wonder when it comes to jewelry houses, it’s hard to do better than Tiffany & Co, one of the main sponsors of Modern Ball. Tiffany’s jewels adorned a number of ladies including the ball’s chair Gina Peterson in diamond earrings with rubellite and a diamond bracelet from the new Blue Book collection 2016, Elissa Patel in diamond necklace and earrings from the Victoria collection with a several Tiffany diamond bracelets from the Metro collection, 15 carat aquamarine earrings from Bluebook collection sparkled on Allison Speer.

“Dress for fun” attire was greatly represented that festive evening. Guests kept it cool with the most fabulous and daring outfits. Feathers, sequins—creativity overload! However, the real belle of the night was New York designer Rubin Singer who dressed few notorious fashionistas including Sobia Shaikh, Jennifer Walske, Paula Corano, Karen Caldwell, Rachel Bowman, Jill Woodman and Ursula Damani. Designer personally flew to San Francisco for the event to make sure ladies looked beautiful. Rubin Singer’s creations are definitely a fresh breath of air on San Francisco fashion scene.
