The City’s only AAA Five Diamond hotel and 2015 winner of a “Best in the World Award” by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler recently celebrated its silver anniversary with a Presidential Suite soirée on the hotel’s ninth floor overlooking the downtown skyline. Hosted by Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, and Bruce Gorelick, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, the elegant affair allowed for appreciative locals to pay homage to the iconic hotel brand that sets the standard for haute service and luxury.

Guests enjoyed an array of savory and sweet tastes (i.e. smoked salmon Wellington, foie gras tourchon, Iberico ham, and chocolate éclairs) prepared by The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco’s Executive Chef Luis Lujan who created his menu based on guest favorites of the past two and a half decades. JCB sparkling wine flowed, and a 6.0-liter bottle of 2008 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon was opened for the occasion. Guests such as former San Francisco Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr., CBS SFBayArea television personality Liam Mayclem, and MyNetworkTV-affiliated KRON 4 news personality Vickie Liviakis toasted the hotel’s position as a San Francisco hospitality gem, with best wishes for 25 more stellar years.
