South Beach Seafood Festival Kicks Off Stone Crab Season
Just in time for Florida’s Stone Crab Season, the 3rd Annual South Beach Seafood Festival will launch October 21st, with the main event taking place on October 24th. Leading up to that will be a Wednesday night event at Joe’s Stone Crab pairing Hess Wines with spectacular dish, Thursday STOLI is hosting an interactive dinner with GOYA, and on Friday night Range Rover, Whole Foods and Bacardi are hosting a Chef Showdown, which sounds like a fierce competition to us.

The food fest involves Miami’s best seafood eateries including Smith & Wollensky, The Oceanaire, Drunken Dragon, A Fish Colled Avelon, Naked Taco, Red Fish Grill, Joe’s and more. They will open little “pop-up” cafes on the sand and not merely give tastes of their food, but allow foodies to really indulge in their dishes. Menu items will be completely seafood-centric and promise to sound something like this: Stone Crabs, Lobster Waffle Cones, Steak & Lobster Skewers, Shrimp Tacos, Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Gyros, Crab Cakes, Grouper in a Bag, Lobster Mac ‘N Cheese.

For those that love them, this festival promises to be a proper warm-up to February’s big South Beach Wine & Food Festival. Hess Select Wines is the title sponsor with supporting title sponsors Premier Beverage, Bacardi, Stoli the Vodka, and Herradura, presenting sponsors Range Rover and the Warren Henry Automotive Group, Coca-Cola, GOYA, and hosting sponsors Heineken Light and Whole Foods Market.

Advance tickets can be had for a steal at $25, which of course, will go up as we get closer to October. Tickets include open bar, live music, mixology demonstrations and VIP hospitality benefits.
