Luxury Liner Sliversea Cruises is Relocating to the Magic City

Just when you thought the “Magic City” could not get any hauter, it does. Luxury cruise liner Sliversea Cruises is relocating its headquarters to Miami, the company announced Thursday.

Kristian Anderson, Silversea’s senior vice president and general manager for the Americas, said, “Miami is recognised in the cruise industry as being the ‘cruise capital’ of the world. So we’re pleased to have found a building in the heart of the city that reflects the best of our brand and is able to meet our current and future expansion needs. Of course, as a LEED Gold-certified sustainable office building, our new location will provide a healthy, productive and beautiful work environment for our employees in what has become a truly vibrant, world-class city.”

All employees currently working in the Fort Lauderdale office will move to the new class A office space in the Wells Fargo Center, a high-rise located where downtown meets the upscale Brickell area. The new office will now be just a short distance from one of America’s busiest cruise ports and within a few miles from Miami International Airport. The move is slated for late 2015.

The company currently has offices in London, England; Frankfurt, Germany and Sydney, Australia. It global office is located in Monte Carlo.

Earlier this month, the ultra-luxe cruise liner announced plans to debut a new flagship vessel dubbed the Sliver Muse. The Sliver Muse is being constructed by the Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri, which is based in Trieste, Italy. It will accommodate 596 guests.

According to Enzo Visone, Silversea’s CEO, “With enhanced design specifications and enriched content, theSilver Muse will continue to build on the sophistication, innovative style and ground-breaking concepts for which Silversea ships are renowned. This ship contributes to our ambitious growth plans that will ensure our continued leadership in ultra-luxury cruising.”

The Sliver Muse is slated to make is grand debut spring 2017. Thus far, details and specifications on the new ship has not been announced.
