How Kylie Jenner Sweetened the Opening of Miami’s First Sugar Factory
Just this June, South Beach welcomed a new favorite haunt to its famed Ocean Drive: Sugar Factory American Brasserie. And with spots already in Vegas, New York and Los Angeles, it only makes sense that America’s favorite eatery and candy shop welcome its new family addition in style — like with a candy-themed hotel bash hosted by none other than Kylie Jenner and DJ Irie.
Taking place on the second-floor terrace of Hotel Victor, this gala had hundreds of fans and Miami VIPs dancing to DJ Irie’s beats, sipping on Sugar Factory’s signature “Berry Bliss” cocktails, trying Couture Pops and fighting to see the youngest Jenner strut her stuff on the red carpet. And considering that many of them had been waiting in line since 6 AM that morning, by the time Kylie made it to the party that night at 9 — and wearing a gorgeous, black Zhivago dress, no less — it came as no surprise that she was greeted with screaming fans begging to be in one of the famous Kardashian-Jenner selfies.
While Kylie may undoubtedly be one of today’s most raved-about reality stars, she is also no stranger to Sugar Factory American Brasserie. In fact, her stint at the South Beach bash was part for the fans and part to celebrate the launch of the new Kendall & Kylie Couture Pops. Draped in sparkling diamonds and filled with tasty, changeable flavors, these couture treats are part of a line of celebrity lollipops, including Couture Pops by Britney Spears and Mel B, that have already gained national fame. Like the other A-list edibles on the store’s shelves, Kendall and Kylie’s signature “Black Diamond” sweet has become the must-have accessory for haute candy lovers everywhere.
Located on the ground floor of Hotel Victor, this latest edition of Sugar Factory American Brasserie is 5,000-square-feet in size and houses a lavish dining room, an expansive 150-seat patio, indoor dining, an ice cream and coffee shop and a bulk candy store, all overlooking Miami’s celebrity-clad Ocean Drive. And with its whimsical decor, creative menus imagined by world-class chefs, and popular Couture Pops, Pink Box Doughnuts, 12-person King Kong Sundae, candy-filled cocktails and more, there’s one thing we know: It’s sure to be the sweetest spot on South Beach.
The new Sugar Factory American Brasserie is located inside Hotel Victor, at 1144 Ocean Drive.
