Which Celebrities Attended The Cash & Rocket Gala in London?
A host of celebrities turned out for the Cash & Rocket Blue Tie Gala at London’s Dorchester Hotel last night. The event was held by the charity, which gathers money for grassroots projects in developing countries.
Guests were welcomed to an exquisite blue themed ballroom at the luxury London hotel, where acrobats held a candle-lit performance. The likes of designer Julien Macdonald, models Jodie Kidd and Arizona Muse, as well as singer Natalie Imbruglia and British retail tycoon Sir Philip Green were all in attendance. Green’s daughter, Chloe, who took part in the annual automobile rally last year, shared her emotional experience of being involved with the project: “After five-hour bus ride from Johannesburg, which was extremely long and very hot, we arrived where we were welcomed by singing children of the Ridgeway College. One of the most emotional and moving experiences was when we walked into the college and there were 7 of 600 students who’d been selected, sitting in a room with no idea why they were there. We were there to tell them that they have received scholarships. As they got the news, their face were priceless and the look in their eyes knowing that this was going to be the start of a bright future.”
This year’s rally will involve Valentino’s Maria Grazia Chiuri, Jodie Kidd, Chloe Green, Michelle Rodriguez and Arizona Muse, who will all drive from London to Cannes in order to raise money for three different charities as part of the project: OAfrica, Shine on Sierra Leone, and Sumbandila. Meanwhile Stylebop.com has collaborated with Valentino and Cash & Rocket on a limited edition capsule collection, which has been inspired by motor racing and includes utility jackets and jumpsuits, studs and slogan tees.
