Kallista Collaborates with Danish Architect Bjarke Ingels
Kallista has partnered with an innovative Danish architect, Bjarke Inges to create a line of faucets called "Taper."

Kallista, home of decorative faucets and plumbing products, has partnered with an innovative Danish architect Bjarke Ingels to create a line of fixtures called “Taper by Big.” Ingels’ company“BIG” has offices in New York and Copenhagen and was named Architectural Innovator of the year in 2011 by the Wall Street Journal, and was recently added to Fast Company‘s “The World’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Architecture” list. If a faucet can be called sexy, then “Taper by BIG” is so, so sexy in its sleekness and simplicity of design.
“Kallista has a rich legacy of partnering with leading designers in the interior spaces, and now we’re pushing ourselves forward to innovate in a very different way with this latest collaboration,” Kohler’s President David Kohler told Haute Living. “Effortless, easy, simple and blatant translation,” was Ingels’ description of the Taper products.
The faucet is pared down to three pieces with no base or seams, and customers can order specialty finishes including gunmetal, black nickel, bronze and polished gold. You can see the faucets here. Prices for “Taper by Big” faucets start at $1,095.
