Leave it to Audemars Piguet to discover a haute way to blend punk and rock, as it does with its new Diamond Punk watch. The timepiece, which made its grand debut at SIHH, is a magnificent haute joaillerie creation designed as a geometrically engineered cuff bracelet of 56 dazzling pyramid facets. It is set with 7,848 snow-set diamonds; beneath a secret sliding cover is its dial, which is set with an additional 300 diamonds. Taking inspiration from the graphic design codes of the punk era, a rhythmical pattern of pyramid studs constructs a new design language, disrupting traditional ideas of gem-set watches. Diamond Punk, the result of 1,440 hours of painstaking, expert craftsmanship, is a true diamond in the rough. In our opinion, there’s really no better way to punk out.
