The Only Way Is Essex: La Sala To Launch In The UK

Bookings for the legendary La Sala restaurant are already starting to flood in despite the fact that the restaurant doesn’t actually launch until October.

Backed by Premier League footballers including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Raheem Sterling and under the chairmanship of well-known entrepreneur James Horler, La Sala – whose flagship restaurant is in Marbella – is expected to become the restaurant of choice for diners looking for a sophisticated evening out.

Under the hand of James Horler, who made his name with the successful £135 million La Tasca chain of restaurants, La Sala will offer top entertainment (quality will perform seven nights per week) while guests enjoy eclectic, worldwide cuisine and killer cocktails.

La Sala’s beautifully designed interior includes a restaurant area seating over 140 people and two private dining areas, the Laurent Perrier Room and the Marqués de Riscal Room, as well as a heated outside terrace.

“Bookings are currently coming in and we expect demand for tables to be very high,” says James. “We expect the first ever UK La Sala to be every bit as popular as its Spanish namesake.”

James continued: “We are well on track with an October opening but are still keeping the date to ourselves for now. The response from the industry and local area has been incredibly good and we are using regional suppliers and staff wherever possible. We are delighted to be welcomed into the heart of the community.”

Tipped to be a favourite celebrity haunt, La Sala is also backed by a host of other big football names including ex Spurs midfielder David Bentley and former Irish footballer Stephen Carr who captained Birmingham City until 2013.

Events planned at La Sala for the coming months include cocktail making masterclasses and wine tasting in the private dining Marqués de Riscal room.

The company is in the process of recruiting over 50 staff for the restaurant including bar and waiting, entertainment and corporate, creating jobs for the area.

It is expected that La Sala will be the first of five other UK restaurant sites to be opened by the internationally recognised brand.
