Haute 100 NY Update: Ralph Lauren is Partnering with Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
Ralph Lauren has long supported cancer research and awareness organizations in the USA, and now the 74-year-old designer is traveling to England to show his support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity by attending a lavish dinner at Windsor Castle.
Hosted by Prince William, who currently serves as the president of the charity, the Tuesday dinner will include a bevy of celebrities, models and distinguished guests including Kate Moss, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mario Testino and Helena-Bonham Carter. The Queen has even allowed the Duke of Cambridge special permission to use the castle’s state rooms!
Following cocktails, guests will be treated to a decadent dinner in the illustrious St George’s Hall. To cap off the evening, singer Emile Sande will treat the crowd, which includes several notable donors, cancer survivors and clinicians, to a lively performance.
“It’s a very important night. Mr. Lauren has not met the Duke before and he is over the moon about it, and very excited,” an official spokesman for Lauren said in a statement. “He has spent a long time looking for the right cancer-related philanthropic mission. This is an opportunity to develop that work.”
