A Haute New Brasserie South of Fifth Called La Maison

The restaurant scene south of Fifth has been heating up for some time now. With the arrival of La Maison it is officially on fire. The Metropolitan Hospitality Group has transformed the former Symcha’s into something light, airy, and decidedly French. This is perfectly apropos to accompany their airy, but decidedly French- Mediterranean menu. The Executive Chef preparing the menu is a Michelein-starred, two-toque award winner named Michael Fulchi who wowed the crowd opening night with perfectly prepared dishes when he was most likely still jet-lagged after his recent arrival to the states earlier in the week.

“We’ve recruited one of the most demanded chefs in France with exceptional talent and innovation,” states Sophien Bennaceur, CEO of Metropolitan Hospitality Group. “Michael’s passion and standards for gourmet fare will perfectly fuse with the vision for La Maison, and we’re certain that the result will be remarkable.”  Fulci will work along side Chef Patrick Kirchner who. Bennaceur is sure will also emerge as a winner on Miami’s culinary scene. The two will work to prepare La Maison’s signature dish, Tiger Tears Maine Lobster, along with other favorites with locally sourced ingredients including the shareable roasted chicken for two, lamb rack roasted with flame burned scallops, and shallots in spicy sauce served with tangy cauliflower.

Fulci has brought his beloved homemade foie gras recipe, which was made famous at Restaurant Les Terraillers. It was a big hit on opening night and will certainly continue to excite everyone who appreciates fois gras – and even a few who don’t!
