Brittny Gastineau on How to Get Glam With Luxury and Drugstore Beauty Products

Haute Beauty, News | March 19, 2014

Brittny GastineauYou don’t have to use La Prairie and Chanel Beauté head-to-toe to look glam. Case in point: Los Angeles-based makeup artist Sophia Flores gave me the perfect makeover. I’m always searching for the perfect beauty products—and I love how Flores’ mixes the use of high-end brands and stuff that you can find nearest drug store (like Revlon’s mascara). To get this flawless look, Flores applied Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl highlighter on bridge of my nose, top of cheek bones, and bow of lip. She then used Chanel Vitalumiere foundation in 40 Beige with a foundation brush and Dolce and Gabanna’s pressed powder in Natural Glow in addition to Chanel powder blush in Reflex and Revlon PhotoReady Bronzer for contouring.

Now for the eyes: Flores used Anastasia brow powder in brunette/dark brown. She then applied Laura Mercier baked eye shadow in Cameo (used wet) and Physicians Formula custom eye khol kajal eyeliner trio using its shimmering black khol. Along the lashline, we used Benefit magic ink liquid eyeliner. And for the finishing touches, Flores used Revlon lash potion volume and length in Blackest Black.

To keep the look glam and fresh, Flores kept the lips nude using Paula Dorf’s lip liner in Rendezvous and Revlon’s matte lipstick in Nude Attitude and super lustrous lipgloss in nude lustre 40.
