Celebration on Skis: Aspen’s Torchlight Parade
If you’ve ever wanted to be in a parade, or ski under the stars, or do both at the same time, then the Winterskol Torchlight Descent is your chance. This Saturday, skiers and snowboarders are invited to ski down the Little Nell run on Aspen Mountain preceding the evening’s fireworks. Participants will descend the ski run carrying battery-operated torches at 8 p.m. and then a fireworks show will go off over Aspen Mountain in celebration of Winterkskol–Aspen’s toast to winter–at 8:15 p.m.
People who want to participate in the parade are asked to meet at the Little Nell lift at 7:30 p.m. It’s first-come, first-served and will be capped at 150 participants.
