Haute Event: Hard Rock Hotel Rings in the New Year with Juicy J
The Hard Rock Hotel waved goodbye to 2013 with a load of unforgettable parties. The evening began with an electrifying performance at The Joint by Juicy J, founding member of Three 6 Mafia and famed music producer known for his recent “Dark Horse” collaboration with Katy Perry. The night’s act included killer sets from DJ Orator, Audio Push and Casey Veggies, and rapper and record producer Hit-Boy occasionally joined the group on stage. Juicy J and his crew sang several of his crowd-pleasing hits including “Bandz a Make Her Dance,” “23,” “Bounce It” and more before leading a midnight countdown to 2014. Among the crowd was professional boxer Floyd Mayweather.
Across the casino, the bass was bumping at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours as DJ Franzen worked the turntables. Producer Mike WiLL Made It started off the hosting duties for the night with a countdown to the New Year and was later joined by Juicy J, following his concert at The Joint. A shower of confetti rained over the excited partiers at midnight as they danced into the New Year.
At Vinyl, local cover band Empire Records hosted a party to remember with throwbacks from ’90s artists such as Britney Spears, TLC, Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls. The band led a champagne toast as the clock struck midnight and ended the night with their groovy tunes as the crowd jammed out.
