A DayDream of a Pool Opens for the Season at M Resort
When local Las Vegans want to lounge by the pool, they invariably turn to DayDream Pool Club, which opens for the season May 1 at the M Resort in Henderson. The M, which opened in early 2009, may be a bit off-Strip, but the beautiful setting gives you views of The Strip looking north, and the pool puts you front and center for those picturesque moments.
This season, DayDream teamed up with Angel Management Group, the nightlife group responsible for Wet Republic, Tabu and Studio 54 at MGM Grand; Vanity Nightclub at Hard Rock Hotel and Rok Vegas at New York-New York. That means you can expect to find concerts, themed pool parties and special events, but created specifically for the local market.
The more than 12,000-square-foot space is an adult’s playground with cabanas, daybeds, lounging areas, an ice-railed bar and an infinity-edge pool. The main pool deck features 10 VIP cabanas with stocked refrigerators and individually controlled misting systems, a must for the hot Vegas summers. Cold towels, an iPod docking station, a safe, television and ceiling fans give DayDream cabanas their VIP status. You can even get an in-cabana massage.
If something a bit less private interests you, try the daybeds, which seem to attract bevies of bikini-clad girls. The pool even has its own hot tub and DJ platform, which doubles as a stage for special performances. The south deck includes a bar with more than 60 feet of ice-railed counters, a luxurious way to keep cool while enjoying a hand-crafted cocktail.
DayDream is open Friday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday evening from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. For more information on Daydream Pool Club, visit www.daydreamlv.com.
