Photos: Hakkasan Employees Volunteer at Three Square Food Bank
Hakkasan at the MGM Grand gathered nearly 100 of its employees at Three Square Food Bank to help pack food supplies for those in need this holiday season as part of its month-long Hakkasan Gives Back campaign on Wednesday.
Hakkasan employees joined forces in Three Square’s South Warehouse on Wednesday to individually stuff bags for the Backpack for Kids program. Currently assisting more than 275 schools with more than 5,000 children, this program offers supplemental weekend meals to children on low-cost or free school lunch programs. Even more Hakkasan happy helpers arranged Senior Share Boxes, which go toward serving more than 1,200 seniors per month. Finally, some employees packaged items for the Kid’s Café, which serves more than 90 after school programs and is a product of Feeding America.
Hakkasan will donate $5 for every patron served in December to directly support Three Square’s nearly 600 partners in Southern Nevada. Additionally, the nightclub staff will individually raise contributions in support of Three Square’s food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, faith-based organizations, senior centers and more. Patrons of Hakkasan may also get involved by donating additional funds once their restaurant check is presented. For every dollar donated, Three Square is able to provide three meals.
