Charity Buzz: Ralph Lauren Teams with The Ludacris Foundation

News | April 23, 2010

Ralph Lauren is no stranger to charitable endeavors. His Pink Pony Fund for Cancer Care and Prevention has been benefiting early diagnosis, education, treatment, and research, and has immensely helped increase the quality of cancer care across all communities. So it came as no surprise when we heard that Polo Ralph Lauren designed a tie exclusively for rapper-actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges’ charity, The Ludacris Foundation.

The Ludacris Foundation is an Atlanta-based organization that aims to foster community development in the inner city. One hundred percent of proceeds from this dapper tie will directly benefit the foundation. The foundation has also gifted 107 outstanding high school seniors in Chicago with the special edition tie, featuring a yellow-and-black crest.

This past Wednesday, Bridges celebrated the collaboration with Ralph Lauren at the Ralph Lauren store in Atlanta. Gabrielle Union co-hosted the intimate cocktail party, and fifteen percent of the evening’s sales went directly to The Ludacris Foundation.
