
The Little Nell’s Sagaria Moves to the Big Apple
Watch out New York City, a new food and wine connoisseur is headed your way. It was recently announced that food and beverage director for The Little Nell, Sabato Sagaria, will join Union Square Hospitality Group as the company’s first chief restaurant operator. He leaves behind overseeing the five-star Nell’s food and beverage operations, which includes Montagna, Element 47 and the Ajax Tavern.
Sagaria has been in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years, working as a cook, restaurant manager, sommelier, consultant, professor and even author. He has worked at The Greenbrier Hotel, The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, The Inn at Little Washington, along with The Little Nell Hotel.
“I’ve had the privilege of both experiencing and watching Sabato work his hospitality magic each summer during the Food & Wine Classic. He is enormously admired by industry colleagues, teammates, and guests, and I can’t wait for our collaboration at USHG,” said Danny Meyer.
USHG includes Union Square Cafe, Danny Meyer, Blue Smoke, Gramercy Tavern, Maialino and Shake Shack.
