Woody Allen Agrees to Speak at Princeton University
It’s no secret that Woody Allen hates speaking in public. The notoriously media-shy filmmaker even avoids the Academy Awards when his films are nominated! But in a rare twist of events, Allen, 76, has agreed to speak at Princeton University on Oct. 27.
Allen has a longstanding relationship with the Ivy League institution and has donated several of his personal papers, manuscripts and short stories to the university since 1980. The collection has grown to 48 boxes and even includes drafts of his screenplay, Midnight in Paris.
Next month, Princeton English professor Maria diBattista will be conduct a Q&A session with Allen in the Richardson Auditorium. Tickets will be offered to the public once they have been made available to students, faculty and staff.
