Michelle Williams To Star in ‘Cabaret’

News | September 4, 2013

Three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams will make her Broadway debut in Roundabout Theater Company’s revival of Cabaret. The 33-year-old actress will star alongside Alan Cumming, who won a Tony for his performance in 1998.

Actress Emma Stone was initially cast in William’s role, but had to drop out due to conflicts with her film schedule. Though no official decisions have been announced, Sam Mendes is expected to direct the Broadway revival, with Rob Marshall to serve as co-director and choreographer.

The show is expected to open in early 2014.
