Keith Urban, Journey Help to Set Attendance Records

Despite lack of cooperation from Mother Nature, Jazz Aspen Snowmass’ three-day festival over Labor Day weekend brought music-lovers out in record numbers, according to the Aspen Daily News. About 27,500 people braved the rain to see artists such as Jason Mraz, Keith Urban and Journey, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1. It’s the most people to attend the concerts in Snowmass Town Park since it dropped down to a three-day format–it used to run for four.
More people travelled from outside the Roaring Fork Valley to see the shows than in the past, and and a higher number of attendees purchased the “Blind Faith” pass, which is a discounted three-day ticket sold before the lineup is announced.
Jason Mraz and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals played Friday; Keith Urban and Train played Saturday and Journey and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes closed out Sunday.
