Zach Braff to Star in ‘Bullets Over Broadway’ Next Year
Zach Braff is ready to see his name in lights! The 38-year-old Scrubs star will make his Broadway debut in a musical adaptation of Woody Allen‘s flick, “Bullets Over Broadway.”
“If my father loved two things most, it was Woody Allen movies and Broadway musicals,” Braff told the Associated Press. “When I called my father, I said, `Are you sitting down?'”
The play, which was written by Allen and Douglas McGrath, tells the story of a struggling young playwright who is forced to cast a mobster’s girlfriend in his latest production. Five-time Tony Award-winner Susan Stroman will direct and choreograph the show. Performances are slated to begin in March 2014 at the St. James Theatre.
“It’s thrilling,” Braff reveals. “I keep waking up expecting it to be a dream.”
