Helmut Newton Exhibit At Annenberg Space For Photography Opens June 29
Calling all Helmut Newton fans!
Those who admire and respect the work of the iconic photographer will be pleased to hear that 90 of his sultriest works (Newton favored the female form) will be on display at the Annenberg Space for Photography starting this Friday.
Not only will the exhibit host some of the German photographer’s most provocative works, but two documentary films will be on display. They include “Provocateur,” which examines Newton’s impact on fashion and photography, and “Helmut by June,” which is a film shot and directed by Newton’s wife.
Helmut Newton: White Women, Sleepless Nights, Big Nudes opens at the Annenberg Space For Photography on June 29 and will run until September 8. This is the first exhibition of Newton’s work outside of gallery shows in Los Angeles.
