NY Yankee General Manager Brian Cashman Enraged About Alex Rodriguez’s Tweet
When Alex Rodriguez announced via twitter that his doctors had given him to green light to start playing rehab games, New York Yankee fans rejoiced. Well, most of them. It seems that the team’s general manager, Brian Cashman, wasn’t too pleased about the manner in which the news was shared with the public.
“You know what, when the Yankees want to announce something, (we will),” an angry Cashman told ESPN. “Alex should just shut the —- up. That’s it. I’m going to call Alex now.”
On Tuesday, the record-breaking third baseman and short stop had posted, “Visit from Dr. (Bryan) Kelly over the weekend, who gave me the best news — the green light to play games again!”
Earlier in the week, Cashman had told news outlets that Rodriguez was not ready to play in rehab games. He said that Dr. Kelly was only involved in Rodriguez’s surgery and recovery — and would not decide when he was to return to the field.
