Emma Stone in Negotiations to Join Broadway Revival of ‘Cabaret’

Emma Stone may soon see her name in lights! “The Easy A” actress is currently in negotiations to play singer Sally Bowles in a Roundabout Theatre Company revival of “Cabaret,” reprts TheWrap.com. Performances of the musical are slated to begin this winter at Studio 54.

Leading lady Anne Hathaway was reportedly also being considered for the starring role, but her publicist told the New York Daily News that that was incorrect.

Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey previously won Oscars for the film adaptation of “Cabaret” in 1973. Grey also appeared in the 1987 Broadway revival starring Alyson Reed.
