La Martina Miami Beach Polo World Cup Kicks Off

The ninth annual La Martina Miami Beach Polo World Cup kicked off last night with the women’s competition and will continue over the weekend with a flurry events in addition to tournament play including a La Martina fashion show, a VIP cruise, a party at Hyde Beach at SLS and more. The four day sporting event will culminate in Cup Finals on Sunday eventing followed by an award ceremony and farewell party. For the event, a VIP viewing tent is erected on the sands of Miami Beach adjacent to the W and Setai hotels at 22^nd and Collins. The tournament is played on a smaller than standard area and with a larger orange ball in order to be adapted for the sand. The setting of the tent and surrounding fence allows for extra close up views of the action. The tournament, put on by Polo Life LLC, is the most prestigious beach Polo Tournament and attracts top level players to its games.
