Take a journey under the sea — without leaving NYC! A $12 million SeaGlass carousel is set to open in Battery Park in October. But it won’t be your typical merry-go-round. The “21st century” carousel will simulate fish-swimming patterns and feature dolphins and angelfish instead of traditional horses. Riders will also sit inside of the fish instead of on top of them.

Broadway set designer George Tsypin, who worked on The Little Mermaid musical, created the intricate sea life. Check out pictures below!
