Haute Event: Calvin Harris Kicks Off His Wet Republic Residency with Surprise Guest Ne-Yo
Wet Republic at the MGM Grand kicked off Calvin Harris’ new residency on Sunday. The Scottish deejay got in the booth just before 3 p.m. and spun his worldwide hits including “Bounce,” “Feel So Close,” “Sweet Nothing, “We Found Love,” and many more to bikini-clad guests. Matching the explosive energy from the dance floor, Harris kept the pool packed and pumping all afternoon.
The party didn’t stop there. Hometown singer Ne-Yo made a cameo appearance at the Vegas pool party. Standing side-by-side and center stage, the superstars took the party to the next level as Ne-Yo got on the mic and gave a surprise performance as he sang the vocals to their chart-topping collaboration “Let’s Go.” The crowd erupted as the pair performed together. Harris closed his show after 6 p.m. leaving guests wanting more as they chanted “Calvin, Calvin, Calvin!”
