Flavors of Los Angeles Event Heads to Loews Hotel Santa Monica on May 5

The Flavors of Los Angeles culinary event will take place on May 5 at the Loews Hotel in Santa Monica. Back for its seventh year, the culinary experience provides each table of attendees with a local chef who will prepare a multi-course dinner tableside.

According to the event website, “chefs and their restaurants are at the heart of [the] event,” which also serves as a fundraiser for The American Liver Foundation. Participating chefs for this year’s event include Chef Collin Crannell (The Lobster), Chef Nyesha Arrington (Wilshire Restaurant), Chef Shigefumi Tachibe (Chaya Restaurant Group), Chef Mirko Paderno (Oliverio at The Avalong Hotel), Chef David Iino (Salt) and more. Each chef will craft a meal tableside showcasing their signature dishes and allowing guests to “experience a distinct evening of dining while helping to fund the research, education, and advocacy efforts of the American Liver Foundation.”

The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7 p.m.

The Flavors culinary experience was created in 1991 by James Beard Award winning chef Christopher Gross in Phoenix. Today the event is hosted in 20 cities across the country, including Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Tennesee, among others, and raises millions of dollars each year to support the efforts of the American Liver Foundation, which include providing research, education, advocacy and support for 30 million Americans affected by liver disease.
