Tiger Woods Wins WGC-Cadillac Championship At Trump Doral Resort
Tiger Woods proved he is back on top after winning the 2013 World Golf Classic-Cadillac Championship at the Trump Doral Golf Club and Resort in Doral yesterday. This is Wood’s fourth career win at the Doral Resort, second PGA Tour win this year and fifth win in his 19 PGA events.
“I feel like my game’s becoming more efficient, and it’s more consistent day in and day out,” said Woods. Wood’s 19-under-par 269 gave him a two-stroke win, beating Steve Stricker who came in second.
It seemed the only moment Woods could have lost the lead spot was during the last hole, when his ball landed directly next to the water. Later, when asked if his win was stress-free Woods responded with, “Stress-free? Did you not see 18?” But overall, Woods played a champion. “I played well on the front nine. I figured either Graeme, Stricks or Phil were going to make some type of run at some time. I just couldn’t make a bunch of pars, especially through the first 12 holes. I needed to be under par at that stage.”
