So it seems Sir Richard Branson has done it again. It wasn’t enough to have the longest in-flight bar in the sky, Virgin Atlantic now has a launched the first in-flight art gallery, “Gallery in the Air”. Upper Class passengers commuting between New York and London will have the unique opportunity to not only view, but to purchase one-of-a-kind paintings by prominent British street artist Ben Eine.

Eine began his career as a graffiti artist more than 20 years ago and has become one of London’s most creative and prolific names on the scene. However, he became internationally recognized when British Prime Minister David Cameron gave President Obama one of his pieces on his first state visit to DC. And as they say, the rest is history.

But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait for take off to have a gander at the art, there will be plenty of Gallery in the Air extras at the Virgin Atlantic’s JFK, Newark and Heathrow clubhouses. And Virgin promises this is only the beginning, a serious of collaborations with renowned artists is in the works. Stay tuned!

Virgin Atlantic’s Gallery in the Air will take place throughout February.
