Come on Down, Drew Carey

News | January 17, 2013

Though he wears many hats–actor, comedian, sports executive and game-show host–Drew Carey comes to Aspen tonight with his original chapeau: stand-up comedy. Famously known as the face of the “Price is Right” and “Whose Line is it Anyway?” the comedy icon will take the stage at the Wheeler Opera House with Brendon Walsh for the Aspen Gay Ski Week Comedy Gala. Carey also starred in his own sit-com “The Drew Carey Show.” Walsh was once named the “Funniest Person In Austin,” and is now a regular comedian on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show.

Aspen Gay Ski Week runs through Jan. 20. It’s celebrating its 36th year with dinners, skiing, parties and comedy shows, like Carey’s. Proceeds from tonight’s show will go to a variety of nonprofits including the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. General admission tickets are $55 and VIP are $65.
