Check Out Tesla Founder Elon Musk’s $17 Million Bel-Air Abode

News | January 3, 2013

Elon Musk is a man of many talents, and a new homeowner.  As the founder of SpaceX, cofounder of Tesla Motors and cofounder of PayPal, Musk recently purchased the Bel-Air home for $17 million.

The lower Bel-Air estate is located on a private knoll overlooking Bel-Air and the ocean. Built in 1009, the extensively remodeled 20,248-square-foot home features large entertaining spaces, high ceilings and high-end finishes, according to the listing. The seven bedroom, nine bathroom home also includes a 1000 bottle wine cellar, gym, pool, tennis court, two-room guest suite, theater, two-story library, kids wing and more. There is also parking space for six cars, a private spa and stucco exterior.

Musk paid approximately $3 million under asking price in the home he had previously been renting, according to LA Curbed, which was listed in April for $19.995 million.
