NBA Legend Scottie Pippen Appears in ‘A Christmas Carol’

News | December 20, 2012

Talk about “tall tales,” last week ex-Chicago Bull superstar Scottie Pippen made a surprise guest appearance in a Goodman Theatre production of “A Christmas Carol.” It was all for a good cause as he appeared courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The NBA and local Chicago legend was helping the organization grant the wish of a 7-year-old cancer patient, La’ren Kimble, who wants to become an actress. She was absolutely adorable and I’m sure she will have no problem getting acting gigs in this town.

While granting the wish of the soon to be famous actress, Pippen also happened to break an interesting record. Playing a 19th century London townsperson, Pippen became the first 6’8” person in the play. According to TMZ, the director created the role for Scottie and he even went into the crowd in the scene where everyone celebrates Christmas morning. Much respect goes to Scottie Pippen and the Make-A-Wish foundation and much success and health to little La’Ren Kimble.
