Haute Restaurant: The Boarding House

All you foodies out there can rejoice because Chicago’s highly anticipated new restaurant The Boarding House will finally open to the public on December 20th.  For those who haven’t heard anything about this new River North establishment, it’s a huge mulit-level restaurant that features a wine elevator. Running the show over there is the owner, master sommelier and Check, Please! host Alpana Singh and Executive Chef Christian Gosselin. They understand the intricacies of the Chicago restaurant scene and know what it takes to make a big splash, which is exactly what they plan to do.

Chef Gosselin plans on a menu filled with progressive American food with a little French inspiration. Resident baker Julia Fitting will make the bread in-house. For the wine connoisseurs, the wine list will have a whopping 450 wines to choose from. As for the menu, they will be serving up pizza, seafood, pastas and much more. Expect for this to be a hot spot for a very long time.

The Boarding House is located at 720 N. Wells and by the end of this week they are planning on having a “soft open.” They are taking reservations for December 20. You can either call 312-280-0720 or send an email to cellar@BHChicago.com. In general all reservations will be through Open Table.
