Charlie Trotter To Auction Off Items

After 25 years of business, one of Chicago’s most famous restaurants, Charlie Trotters, closed this past August. Now that the doors are closed, Trotter has decided to auction off everything from the establishment. This auction will actually be the second for the restaurant, a recent Christie’s auction of Trotter’s rare wine collection netted close to a million dollars.

If you miss the restaurant or just want to have a piece of Chicago culinary history, now is your chance. The items in the auction are wide ranging, from the artwork on the wall to the gadgets from the kitchen. Items include one of a kind Bernardaud China and Marquiand flatware, Sub-zero appliances, CVAC ovens, photography from Tim Turner and Paul Elledge, a large collection of modern contemporary artwork and much more.

Auction Consultants in conjunction with Bunte Auction service will hold the auction at 816 West Armitage, December 12^th at 11am, with an advanced viewing a day before (Dec. 11^th) from 9am – 8pm. There will also be concurrent online bidding at bidspotter.com for those who would rather bid online. If you can’t eat at his restaurant again, having the gear is the next best thing. Good Luck.
