The Beckstrand Cancer Foundation’s 9th Annual Diamond and Pearl Ball was held on October 13 at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California. Dubbed “An Evening in Russia”, the event raised more than $1 million in support of cancer patients.

Alana Stewart, filmmaker, cancer activist and longtime friend of Farrah Fawcett, spoke during the event and was honored for her support of Fawcett during her illness as well as for the work she has done in her role as the President of the Farrah Fawcett Foundation.

The Ball was held in an elaborately decorated hanger at the Orange County Fairgrounds and was a black-tie affair in part to honor Fawcett’s courageous battle with cancer. Guests viewed auction items and enjoyed a gathering in the dining room with vodka girls who performed and served Russian Standard Vodka martinis from trapezes.

Eva La Rue, who is the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation’s National Spokesperson and star of CSI: Miami, was the hostess for the event. Attendees included Renetta Caya, Lil Spitzer, Dick Van Patten, Nels Van Patten, Peter Bergman, Don Diamont, Oday Shakar, Gretchen Rossi and more.
