Dori’s World: React to Film
Last night I attended the non-for-profit REACT TO FILM screening of the documentary, The House I Live In at the MoMA. React to Film is a series started by Coralie Charriol and Dennis Paul three years ago out of a passion for films and social issues. This film won the Grand Jury Prize Documentary 2012 at Sundance and has not been nationally released yet. It’s about the American drug war, and is a very strong film produced by Eugene Jarecki. Guests at the movie included Eva Lorenzo, David Schulhof, Ralph Davidson, and Jonathan Schuster. After the movie I went to Nobu to meet Nicholas Berguen, Dino Lalvani, Vikram Chatwal (who has announced he will buy the Plaza Hotel) and Teddy Wong. Also there were Samantha Boardman and Aby Rosen who were celebrating their son’s birthday. Alex Rodriguez was nearby with a bunch of friends. They it was off to PhD at the Dream Hotel.
