Dartz Nagel Dakkar Mixes Town and Desert

Latvia’s eccentric car customization company Dartz Motorz has released a series of sketches depicting its upcoming creation, the Nagel Dakkar SUV. Named after Russian driver Andrew Nagel, the new vehicle pays homage to Nagel’s expedition across the Sahara desert as well as his victory in the 1912 Monte Carlo Rally.

With a 5.5 liter, V8 engine from Mercedes-Benz, the SUV is built on a lightweight Titanium tube chassis designed by Saxon Automotive Manufacture. Capable of 650 hp and 626 pound-feet of torque, the versatile SUV is controlled via 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, all sitting inside a body of carbon Kevlar.
