Facebook Inc. has added its first woman to the board of directors, naming Sheryl Sandberg the Chief Operating Officer.
Facebook Inc. has added its first woman to the board of directors, naming Sheryl Sandberg the Chief Operating Officer. Sandberg, who has been deeply involved in the building and managing of Facebook’s growth over the past few years, has an impressive resume, which includes time at Google Inc., Walt Disney and the U.S. Treasury.
“Sheryl has been my partner in running Facebook,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg says of the new addition.
