The first store will be open in New York on July 10 inside the Louis Vuitton boutique on Fifth Avenue. This is timed perfectly with Kusama’s retrospective that opens the same week at the Whitney Museum of American Art. After that, shops will “pop up” in Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Ginza, and finally Selfridges in London. Expect not just spotted bags and shoes, but the art has made its way onto coats and outerwear as well.
