Flagler Center in West Palm Beach Now Complete after a $2M Renovation

The Flagler Center in downtown West Palm Beach has just completed its first $2million renovation that featured two towers of the Center. One spacious, 90,000-square-foot, six-story tower on 501 N. Flagler Drive and another 150story building on 505 N. Flagler Drive that sprawled all of 155,000-square-ft. Both of the Center’s two towers were built back in 1975 and 1980. Flagler Center’s tenants list include Charles Schwab & Company; SunTrust Bank; Palm Beach Capital; Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, P.A.; and quite a few governmental agencies.

Currently, the $2 million renovation included new landscaping, revamping both lobbies by a more updated look with Italian marble floors, custom artwork, new lighting and contemporary furniture. Also, a new outdoor patio made of tabby concrete, along with granite bistro tables. As guests come to the Flagler Drive waterfront, they will also notice a new walkway of paver stones and tabby concrete.

In an attempt to improve energy efficiency at Flagler Center, a plan of a second $1 million renovation is in works that will include improvements to the chiller plants. In the 1920s, Flagler Center was the first major commercial building built in West Palm Beach, with such a large property of 3.5 acre and still is considered the only office building in its current area to have its original owners still in operation.
