Haute Fashion Daily Armani Sees Double Digit Growth and No Reason to Sell Brand
Despite rumors to the contrary, Giorgio Armani will not be selling his world-famous luxury fashion house. With double-digit growth, Armani continues to focus on China, where its sales grew by 45% last year.
Seventy-seven year old Giorgio Armani says he currently has no intentions of letting go of his incredibly successful fashion house. During a recent interview, Armani noted that he is still very much involved in all of the decisions at the group and added, “At the moment…I am resisting all temptations [to sell], there are certainly many but they don’t lure me. In the first quarter of 2012, sales have seen double-digit growth both in wholesale and retail.”
According to Armani, the famed fashion house will continue to set its focus on China where they saw significant growth over the past year. Armani will also expand its presence in Brazil and continue to cater to traditional markets like the U.S.
