An Edition Hotel Coming to West Hollywood on Sunset Blvd

Back in 2010, there’s been talk of a new crazy hotel being built on Sunset Boulevard, but instead that was a completely different project. In fact the crazy hotel will be located at 9040 Sunset Boulevard and Doheny. Surprising enough, there is a new hotel in plans to be built, an Edition Hotel will feature a 5,ooo square ft. “crazy box” nightclub, 190 hotel rooms, a subterranean parking garage, 3,100 square feet of space for a bar area and a rooftop pool.

According to Patch.com, after attending a recent West Hollywood Planning Commission meeting, the project has already been approved, but Edition is uncertain of the designs that were created in 2010 by expert architect Eric Owen Moss. WeHo Planning Commission are still waiting for further plans from Edition. As of now, an attorney for Edition are hoping for approval from the City Council for modifications which can lead to a submission of new designs for review.

In the meantime, the project is a work in progress, but guests in London or Miami can look forward to a second Edition Hotel opening in 2013.
