As of April 11th, for the very first time ever the Tarkovsky exhibition is officially open, just in time for the Russian filmmaker’s 80th anniversary of his birth. The impressive exhibit will be opening until May 20th and will display a collection of books, sketches, posters and photos dedicated to his life and work as a filmmaker.

Also, visitors will have the opportunity to view all films by Tarkovsky, including videos and recordings in which he directed.

Andrei Tarkovsky won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for his first feature film “Ivan’s Childhood” in 1962 and died at the age of 54 in 1986 leaving behind such marvelous works.
