First Asian Night in L.A. on April 14

On April 14, 2012, Pasadena will be kicking off the Night Market, which is very famous in most Asian countries. The is known for its many Asian inspired cuisines such as stinky tofu, Chinese donut sticks, Filipino food, Hong Kong egg waffles, Indonesian fried noodles, Boba milk teas and much more. But what makes this first Night Market in Los Angeles so great is that all of these mouth-watering foods will be served by many vendors and along with 80 participating businesses.
The event is free and open to the public so many residents in the 626 area code are very excited to get a chance to enjoy multiple Asian cultures and cuisines. The 626 Night Market will be held on Oakland Avenue between Union Street and Colorado Boulevard from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. The event is being called 626 Night Market in homage to the Asian residents of Los Angeles that live in that particular area code. In December 2010, Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade had the chance to experience a Malaysian Night Market, something similar to this fun upcoming event.
With such a tough economy, 626 Night Market hopes to bring support among the businesses and restaurants, while bringing inspired Asian culture foods to South California. Many organizers hope that the Night Market will be a successful night and possibly a recurring event for years to come.
